Latest Stuff and Tings

This is rapidly becoming the Frank Turner appreciation weblog. Sorry. No I’m not but I promise I’ll be doing something about that soon(ish). With a whole load of cd’s piling up on my desk waiting to be reviewed there’s only so long I can put off the inevitable before I stop being able to get to my computer.

Anyway, my friends Li, Liam and Nicole all went to see Frank Turner in manchester Tuesday night, sadly I couldn’t make it, but they promised me they would have fun on my behalf so I felt much better. They also assured me that they would give Frank a big kiss too… Oh dear.

I got brought back to consciousness late Tuesday night to a phone ringing on my desk, somewhere near my head. When I answered it I found myself listening to The Ballad Of My And My Friends live from manchester … Now I don’t know what the law would have to say about this as I hadn’t actually paid any money for the privilege but was enjoying one free song curtesy of Mr Turner regardless, and it was schweeeet.

Now, the best bit is that they obviously felt so bad about having to leave me behind (yeah right) that one of my dear chums decided to make it up to me by getting me a T-Shirt. Not only that but he got Frank to sign it and write “I Love Matt” on it. So that’ll be on e-bay on Monday… Kidding! Just Kidding…

I also feel that I should make an apology to Frank Turner, on behalf of both myself and my friends. You see when my mate Liam promises to do something he usually comes through. In this case, yes I am refering to the kiss I mentioned earlier and yes he did it and somehow managed to pull it off without getting punched, I’m told his actual words were “Sorry about this but I promised a friend” before going in for the kill.

Sadly he gave no prior warning so there is no photographic evidence. On the other hand t’other Li probably managed to capture some video of other random goings on, goings on seem to be attracted to him like flys to a dead cat, so I might upload some of those to you tube given half a chance and if they’re stupid enough I’ll put a link up here.
